Our Vision
The Willow Tree Nursery has been operating since January 2023, our founder, Christina, worked for over 20 years in education, as a primary school teacher in England and in the UAE, a GCSE tutor and a trainer for adult education before opening Tina's Tots in Rothwell, 2019, (www.tinastots.co.uk) and then The Willow Tree.
Our mission is to create a community of lifelong learners who are passionate about exploring new ideas and expanding their horizons. We aim to have a dedicated team of staff from young to old, new to experienced, all of whom not only care for each child as though they were their own, but to teach children and provide them with the building blocks on which to base further learning and a love for life.
Through care, compassion, excitement and respect, children are able to grow and develop, to be their best selves.

We believe that learning should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background, ability, barriers to learning or circumstances. That's why we aim to deliver the very best inclusive, universal provision, where all staff are dedicated to the growth and development of every child.
Children move through our rooms, building in confidence, resilience and knowledge, skills and understanding. Having daily opportunities to learn, share and care.

Our Curriculum
We have designed our curriculum around the needs of our children and community. It is based on the requirements of the EYFS and the outcomes within the Birth to 5 Matters document. Our curriculum is delivered through adult planned opportunities to learn and in the moment opportunities.
Our staff are on a learning journey of their own, developing the skills to make a real difference to each and every child. Learning how to utilise the skills learnt on the level 3 programme to teach children in the early years in a playful, exciting and nurturing manner. We employ people from a variety of backgrounds and qualification status from apprentices to fully qualified teachers. The owner, Christina, is an experienced primary school teacher and holds a masters degree in early childhood.
